Hi, I’m Michael.
I’m now giving back.

In March 2025, after serving as a professional fundraiser for many years, I stepped down from my role as Director of Development at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University to give back to the profession I enjoy so much.

Having led extensive institutional advancement programs and raised millions in major gifts and annual gifts, I now selectively volunteer as a professional resource to nonprofits that are building their capacity for growth and impact.

As a veteran fundraiser, I coach nonprofit executives, frontline gift officers, and donor relations professionals seeking additional skills or a fresh perspective in strategic planning, donor prospecting and qualification, donor engagement and solicitation, communications, and the use of storytelling in donor interactions.

I am located near Philadelphia, PA, and closely assist a few local nonprofits serving the Greater Philadelphia community. Feel free to reach out to discuss the needs of your organization and potential collaboration in a volunteer capacity.

My Fundraising Expertise

Major Giving

For many nonprofits, a few major donors do most of the giving. Often, the 10 largest gifts each year exceed the rest combined. As a veteran fundraiser, I coach major gift officers to steward their most promising donors by listening to understand, asking powerful questions, and challenging them to think more broadly about their potential impact.

Leadership Annual Giving

Most major donors began giving as annual donors. Often overlooked, annual donors are a rich source of future major gifts. I coach annual gift officers to strengthen their mid-level donor segment with a high-touch development program that provides consistent and personalized donor engagement to raise more and build a robust major gift pipeline.
