Hi, I’m Michael.
I’m now giving back.

In March 2025, after serving as a professional fundraiser for many years, I stepped down from my role as Director of Development at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University to give back to the profession I enjoy so much.

Having led three extensive institutional advancement programs and raised millions in major gifts and annual gifts, I now selectively volunteer as a professional resource to nonprofits that are building their capacity for growth and impact.

As a veteran fundraiser, I coach nonprofit executives and frontline fundraising teams seeking additional skills or a fresh perspective in donor identification, engagement, and long-term stewardship. I do this in a purely volunteer capacity.

I’m located near Philadelphia, PA, where I serve as Vice President of Membership, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Philadelphia Chapter (AFP-GPC). In this volunteer role, I am committed to supporting our local fundraising community.

My Fundraising Expertise

Major Giving

For many nonprofits, a few major donors do most of the giving. Often, the 10 largest gifts each year exceed the rest combined. As a veteran fundraiser, I coach major gift officers to develop their most promising prospects by listening to understand, asking powerful questions, and challenging them to think more broadly about their potential impact.

Leadership Annual Giving

Most major donors began giving as annual donors. Often overlooked, annual donors are a rich source of future major gifts. I coach annual gift officers to strengthen their critical mid-level donor segment with a high-touch program of consistent and personalized donor engagement to raise more and build a robust major gift pipeline.
